Where in the world are you riding your Trikke?
He’s the man who coined the term LSM for the So Cal’s Last Saturday of the Month Ride and inspired a monthly tradition that’s taking place all over the world. Here now, LSM Correspondent Wilson Wong with a preview of this weekend’s global LSM Rides.
With spring in bloom, there’s a lot going on in the Trikke world during the last weekend of April. The Trikke Academy road show is in Kansas City, Missouri, sharing the passion of community building with the soon-to-be certified trainers. The formation of a new club, So Cal Carvers (which I’m a part of) has been made official! Plus there is another Euro connection: Trikke Croatia is considering joining the LSM movement next month.
Yes, it’s time for April’s LSM Ride. If you’re out there carving this weekend, please let us know. And if you’re near an LSM Ride, don’t be shy. Carve on up and join them and let the fun begin!
So, who’s in? First the Saturday carvers:
In the Eastern part of the U.S., New England Trikkers are headed towards the Newburyport and Salisbury trail, while Roger Wildermuth will be carving up a 5K for Autism near northern Florida (sorry, having a little trouble confirming the location).
In the Midwest, Michigan Carvers will be attending a Heart Healthy Walk before getting their carve on at the Kalamazoo River trail, while Gary Peterson will be carving in Columbus, Ohio.
In the South, Christine Carroll is back home in Alabama and getting her groove on with her ol’ Trikke group, while My Trikke Club will be out at the Tammany Trace Trail in Louisiana.
In the Western U.S., Phoenix Trikke Riders will be heading out to Tempe Town Lake for an early evening ride to beat the heat! Las Vegas Trikke is carving over at the Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex, while Portland Trikke Riders will be in full effect (and growing the community).
In the Western U.S.-adjacent, John “Mini Man” Goolevitch will be out in Vancouver, B.C., Canada on the Tynehead Park Trail.
A little south of him — making a “return! — Doc O’Zee will be in Seattle, carving through the trails. Welcome back! Welcome to the LSM!
In Chowchilla in Central California, Mark and Addie Hanebury might carve Saturday, or was it Sunday? They weren’t sure either, but I’m happy they checked in.
In Southern California, So Cal Carvers will be actin’ a fool at the awesome Doo Dah Parade in Pasadena, CA. Expect a wild ’n’ crazy bunch of “3-wheeled maniacs” sharing their love of fitness, fun and friends.
Elsewhere, Hawaii Trikkers weren’t sure if they would be out on Saturday or Sunday but said they would be carving the somewhere in paradise!
Now let’s cross the Pacific:
Down under, Trikke Australia will be in Melbourne, and I hear they’ll be carving new T8 sports. And Murray Humphrey will be at Brisbane’s Southbank for his first LSM.
Trikke Singapore is getting in the LSM action and hoping for clear weather! Good luck, carvers!
Trikke HKG of Hong Kong said they’ll be carvin’ but weren’t sure of which day. Life happens.
Now for the Sunday carvers:
In the U.S., Gateway Trikke of St. Louis will be at the Monarch Park Levee in Chesterfield, Missouri.
In Asia, Trikke Indonesia will be in three locations this LSM, steady carvin’ in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bali.
There you have it folks, twenty different locations for your carving pleasure. I may have missed a few of you on the check-ins, I apologize. And there may be others who didn’t check-in, simply because you weren’t sure which day they’d be able to ride.
Well, if you checked in and we found another carver in your area, would that help you get out there? Life’s a trip, take it one carve at a time!
