Trikke lovers unite on the last Saturday of every month!

Wilson Wong, LSM Trikke guruIntroducing our new LSM correspondent

He’s the man who coined the term LSM for the Last Saturday of the Month Ride in Southern California. Now he’s on a mission to make the last Saturday of every month a global phenomenon in the Trikke world. Here now, Wilson Wong’s open letter to Trikke lovers worldwide:

The LSM is the ultimate sharing of the passion we call Trikke. “LSM” stands for the “Last Saturday of the Month” ride and was originally created by SouthBay Trikke and TrikkeWorld Magazine for the So Cal carving community. There are two main ideas behind holding an LSM. First, to help build your own carving community. Second, to give back to the global carving community.

Offering a regularly scheduled ride helps with planning. It also offers riders a chance to meet one another, help one another, share experiences, improve their riding skills, and most of all, enjoy a day of caring together!

It’s that simple. I’m asking: would you host and hold LSM rides for your community? Help us grow the sport of carving!

TrikkeWorld and I would like to ask you to share your LSM experience with TWM readers for many reasons. One is to help promote your community’s LSM. There may be riders in your area who read the magazine but aren’t aware of your ride.

Keeping TrikkeWorld in the loop will also help traveling Trikke riders in search of fun while on vacation or business trips. Perhaps you have additional Trikkes for rent, so others won’t need to lug theirs through airports.

You’re always welcomed to share your ride experiences with a Ride Report. Let us know how many riders attended, even if you were by yourself!

We’ll also post links to your photos and videos, giving the Trikke world a virtual tour of your LSM. Maybe you have a “destination trail” or event to show us. You know your terrain best, won’t you share it with us?

Sharing your LSM with TrikkeWorld also helps us in a census-like fashion. Whether you’re carving in a group or by yourself, let us know. You are alone no more! We are with you in spirit!

With your Ride Report, we’ll be able to tally how many Trikke riders around the world went carving the day!

In November, I believe we had seven LSM rides around the world with a total of 47-50 carvers. We are hoping the numbers continue to grow.

Imagine, on any given last Saturday (or Sunday) of the month, thousands of us carvers out there, swooshing the trails! This is not a competition, rather a way for us — all of us! —  to know how many carvers are out there enjoying and sharing the passion we call Trikke!

Join us, help us. Let’s grow our sport! Let’s grow our community of carvers! Thank you!
