Trikke Academy Launches New Era for National Skki Inn

Planet Skki - Skki Report

And Can You Say, Trikke Travel?

The Trikke Academy has announced its plans to hold the fifth annual National Trikke Skki Inn in Eden, Utah, between January 24-29th, with "early bird" registration open now until the end of November. [See videos at the end of this story.]

For the first time, the event is being produced by the Academy, which plans to include features such as a hospitality suite, evening movies and games, an awards ceremony and “lots of great, Trikke-centric commingling,” according to Fred Welch, director of the Academy.

“The Skki Inn is open to anyone who's been itching to try the Skki,” said Welch, “but, we're also getting an amazing response from Trikke trainers from all over, including our distributor for Puerto Rico, who registered last week.”

Previously, the Skki Inn had been organized by local enthusiasts in Utah, but after last year’s event morphed into something called the Bloodpowered Winter Hullabalooza, Welch thought it was important to resurrect the spirit and name of the original event.

“We didn't want this great, annual event to just fade away,” he explained. “The Trikke Academy has always been about building community.”

In the name of building that community, the Academy is hoping the Skki Inn will be the genesis of Trikke Travel, a venture that makes it easier for Trikke lovers to attend events worldwide.

"We realize people already travel to meet others who love doing the same thing they do, whether it's golf, tennis, or carving,” noted Welch. “Can you imagine taking a cruise with all your fellow trikkers, then having your own elekktric Pon-e’s ready for an excursion as you disembark? Sounds like fun to me."

For now, the fun starts in Eden, Utah.
