The Trikke Academy rolls into Charleston, South Carolina

TrikkeWorld magazine coverA little more than one week after Hurricane Isaac gifted Charleston, South Carolina, with torrential rains and street flooding, the Trikke Academy comes to town this weekend to make waves of a different kind.

In this, its first visit to the charming Southern city, the Academy will stage both its weekend seminar to certify a new group of Trikke Trainers, as well as a Saturday Riding Clinikk for those who wish to hone their carving skills.

And despite the fact the rains flash-flooded parts of the city of 123,000, Academy Coordinator Ann Pirone says that shouldn’t be an issue:

“I checked on the conditions with a cousin of Fred’s [Welch, Academy director], who lives there and plans on attending the Academy. He wrote the following back to me: Flooding is a regular occurrence here, nothing serious.”

Pirone also said that a few spots are still available for the Riding Clinikk, but anyone interested must register by today.

The Trikke Academy will be in Charleston beginning Friday, September 7th.
