The urban beach town of Long Beach, California, likes to call itself the Most Bike Friendly City in America, but we like to call it the home of TrikkeWorld Magazine and day we say, the Most Trikke Friendly City in America. [See video after the break.]
Half a dozen group rides were held in the LBC over the past year. Sponsored by TrikkeWorld and SouthBay Trikke, four of those rides became the biggest four Trikke events in the US in 2011, in terms of attendance.
Additionally this year, on entirely separate occasions, the Mayor and three city councilmembers were introduced to three-wheel carving vehicles. Two of them actually tried riding a Trikke, including Suja Lowenthal, who carved it up outside City Hall and welcomed the bike’s three-wheel cousin, as shown in a fitness video, which aired on CNN Local Edition and other Time Warner media outlets.
