Saturday, So Cal Carvers will light up the night for a fun-filled Trikke ride in downtown Los Angeles, the Staples Center Christmas Ride, organized by Quincy and Monica Jeffries, the dynamic duo responsible for the LSM Ride in the Santa Clarita Valley and the Amazing Race ride.

For the Staples Center Ride, riders are encouraged to wear holiday attire and decorate their Trikkes with brightly colored lights.

“It’s the holiday season, so why not?” says Quincy Jeffries, who also notes, “We’re asking that everyone bring an unwrapped toy, and along the way, we’ll stop at a local fire department and donate them to the Spark of Love toy drive. They need toddlers and teens toys the most.”

The Staples Center Christmas Ride begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012. The meetup spot is Wurstkuche restuarant in the Arts District (see map below); the ride route runs from there to Staples Center and back, followed by food and drinks at Wurstkuche.

During the ride, riders will observe a moment of silence in memory of Angus Desveaux, who passed away recently.
