‘Twas a summer of endless carving

It started in May over Memorial Day weekend and ended in September over Labor Day weekend. When it was over, the summer of 2011 was like no other in the brief history of the sport of carving in Southern California.

For this was the Summer of Trikkes, as coined on Facebook by Wilson Wong, one of the regulars on the So Cal carving circuit.
