Presidential carvings on Presidents Day

TrikkeWorld Central - Carving News Now

He was a peanut farmer who became the leader of the free world. Then he decided to carve up the free world on a Trikke, along with his wife, of course. Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter might be the most famous carving couple to date. Being President of the United States and First Lady will do that.

“To keep in shape, Rosalynn, 84, and Jimmy, 87, try to ride every day on their Trikkes,” said a recent article in Time Magazine.

The Carters were introduced to three-wheel carving vehicles through their son, Jack Carter, who ran across the Trikke while surfing the web, looking for a push-scooter.

Meanwhile, another couple, not quite famous, relocated from Florida to Atlanta, bringing their local Trikke dealership with them. A short time later, they received a call from Jack Carter, who -- now sold on the Trikke -- wanted to buy two for his presidential parents.

The rest is history, chronicled by TrikkeWorld for presidential posterity in three stories. See the Carters on 60 Minutes, showing the world the President who rides a Trikke.
