It’s become a regular scene along the beaches of LA’s South Bay during the last weekend of October: beach-goers, volleyballers, bike riders and, yes, Trikke riders enjoying a day at the beach in Halloween costumes. Since 2009, Trikke riders have carved up the beach bike path as participants of the Trikke & Treat Halloween Ride, a 10-mile freak show on three wheels, as it were.

It seems as though, with each passing TNT Ride, the stakes are upped, the costumes more creative, the revelry more abandoned, as if the collective rebel yell of Trikke riders in a bike world is loudest when wearing something outrageous and eye-catching.
