From Poland to Hoodoo to Powder Mountain, Douguss was Amonguss.
Recently I scrolled through my YouTube videos (I have several different accounts), and was surprised to see that a video passed the 1000-view mark. It’s interesting to me this video would be watched so many times, but there it is: 1047 views. This video is Poma Lift at Powder Mountain Skki Inn 2010 and was a lot of fun to video. I love the Poma Lift and it is easy to use; you just have to know what to do and have good timing. I’d love to go back to Powder Mountain to try it again.
The next most popular video is also from Skki Inn 2010 and has 705 views: Riding through the aspens on Powder Mountain Skki Inn 2010 is something I have not experienced at any other snow resort. This was probably my third day on the Trikke Skki and now I’m addicted.
My third most-viewed Trikke Skki video is one from Poland and shows my late night Trikke Extreme Track crash and burn. Crash and Burn on the Extreme Downhill Ride of my Life is one of the most interesting experiences I’ve had on a Trikke Skki. The track is a wonderful downhill ride and I had made it successfully at least 7 or 8 times in the previous days; but on this night it was very cold, the ice was very slick and I had decided to just go for it. I should have exercised a bit more caution, at least on the first ride. I was going quite fast, unfortunately I didn’t have my Garmin with me and didn’t record the speed. I drifted into a rut, which took the front Skki blade off in an instant. I was immediately on the ground, wondering what had happened. Fortunately I only suffered a light contusion to my shin and a small cut where my glasses cut me. I have had some falls since this ride, but I am quite cautious when it comes to speed now. This video has been viewed 643 times.
Number four in popularity is an amazing video of Darrick Bruyn of Central Oregon Trikke attempting to complete the Pond Skim at Spring Fling at Hoodoo Ski Area. Darrick Bruyn Pond Skimming Hoodoo Ski Area has been viewed 556 times, which is amazing because it is such an incredible attempt. Darrick spent at least 45 minutes waiting for his turn to skim across the pond. He had only his t-shirt and long underwear on and was practically frozen when he hit the water. I hope you enjoy this.
Trikke Skkis at Snowbasin Skki Inn 2012 rounds out the top 5 with 419 views. We had a great time in 2012 at Snowbasin Resort in Utah. I am looking forward to snow carving with some of the folks in this video and will miss others who are not going to this year’s Skki Inn. The Trikke Skki is so much fun and is my favorite way to spend time on a Trikke vehicle. The glide and the ability to move across the slope is fantastic. I hope one of these videos inspires you to give the Trikke Skki a try.
