Birthday Thrill Ride

A day on the slopes make the perfect gift.

graphic“I didn’t know what to expect.” “It was thrilling.” “It was a blast!”

Those were just a few of the rave reviews from Trikke rider Debbie Bumgardner, who hit the slopes on the Trikke Skki for the very first time on February 5, 2011, for Super Saturday Trikke Skkiing at Mountain High East.

The day started with Bumgardner trying to decide what to do for her friend Dee’s birthday. The choice came down to Disneyland or Mountain High. They pondered their options. “Are you game?” they asked one another about trying out the Skki. They were.

“We were pushed out of our comfort zone,” said Bumgarnder after carving up the slopes. “We both felt proud of ourselves!”

Neither woman knew what to expect before riding the Trikke Skki. Bumgardner had never even skied before, let alone skkied before. Dee had skied, but it had been years.

Their biggest surprise: how easy it was to pick up skkiing with the Skki.

We felt more secure with the handlebars,” said Dee.

Debbie said it was amazing. The best birthday ever, said Dee.
